Donegal Canoe Club are running a series of 2 week introductory canoeing courses in the swimming pool at the Aura Leisure Centre, Letterkenny from October through to March. The sessions are on Wednesday evenings from 9.30pm to 11pm.
Each course costs just €20.00 and include a 33% discount voucher* for Donegal Canoe Club membership. (*Conditions apply)
All equipment will be provided and participants should wear normal swimming attire although you may also prefer to wear a rashvest or t-shirt too.
The course will introduce you to the hardware and safety equipment. You will learn the basic strokes, how to brace to prevent capsize and how to exit the boat when it does capsize in the safe environment of the pool.
After completing the two week course two further pool sessions will be made available to you where you will be given the opportunity to join the DCC at a discounted rate and move on to attaining the Irish Canoe Union Level 2 Skills Award.
